What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a technique that deals with the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and face that correspond to all the; organs, glands, and parts of the body. It is a unique method of using thumbs and fingers on these reflex areas.
With stress a contributory factor in 75% of illness diagnosed, this alternative therapy is one of the ways to mitigate the stresses of modern life. Most of my clients make an appointment for their next session at the end of their first treatment. People often ask how many appointments they need but this solely depends on the reason for their visit. Some clients book a one off treatment as a birthday present whilst a maternity client will see me throughout their pregnancy (monthly until month 8, then weekly until the due date followed by appointments every few days up until the birth). Reflexology can help improve your well being and grant you a better nights sleep. The need to be constantly on the go means that we get very little time to sit down and rest. In my treatment room in Basingstoke you will find that time stays still for the duration of your treatment.
As a reflexologist I work from my very relaxing treatment room in the Cranborne area of Basingstoke, Hampshire (RG21 3LL) not far from Hook. Please refer to my facebook page for recent feedback from my clients and images on my website of my treatment room. I am a proud member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) and the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists (ARR). The membership of these two organisations proves that I am trained to a high standard and ensure my knowledge is always up-to-date. As a member of the ARR I regularly take part in webinars to discuss complex cases.
Please do take a look at the different of reflexology I offer including; Fertility Reflexology, Maternity Reflexology, Traditional Reflexology and Facial Reflexology! If you are unsure which treatment might be best for you then please don't hesitate to contact me. I have introduced a new package called 'Ultimate Bliss' for those who need some serious relaxation! (you can choose from a selection of treatments from Indian Head Massage, Facial Reflexology and Traditional Reflexology lasting 1 hr 45 mins). I offer gift vouchers for anyone looking for a special gift for their loved ones. On receipt of payment I can send the gift voucher out free of charge either to you or the recipient. If you have left a present to the last minute I can send out an 'e-Voucher'.
In 2014 I trained in Indian Head Massage (IHM) with Louise Keet in London. You can benefit from an Indian Head Massage when you book either a 'Pure Bliss' (1 hr 30 mins of relaxation) or an 'Ultimate Bliss' (1 hr 45 mins of relaxation) treatment!
I took part in a four day course by Barbara Scott for Fertility Reflexology in 2014 which was amazing and my clients are benefiting from my training! I am seeing an increasing number of clients who come to me for Fertility Reflexology (some being diagnosed with unexplained infertility or secondary reflexology) and I am getting some positive results! During the Fertility Consultation we discuss where you are in your fertility journey, how long you have been trying, if you have had an tests carried out at the hospital, your current stress levels, occupation, ovulation timing and reason(s) why you think you may not have conceived yet. With some clients I have found that they are constantly on the go and with regular reflexology treatments it slows them down and makes them realise how they never slow down or sit still. Infertility is extremely stressful for everyone involved, I work with both female and male clients. Please refer to the tab 'Fertility Reflexology' for further details. I am constantly reading about developments in the world of fertility and taking part in Webinars to increase my knowledge!
In March 2015 I took part in a two day Maternity Reflexology course with Sally Earlam. One recent pregnant client gave me some amazing feedback!"I don't know what you did during your last treatment but I feel amazing! I'm not totally without pain but I manage much better. I can't describe it. I feel like my old self. You clearly pressed the right buttons - thank you so much!!!". I love the fact that most of my successful fertility clients go on to enjoy treatments during their pregnancy. It is so wonderful to witness their bump grow and to hear stories of their births and of course meeting the little one at the end! It is ideal if you can book in around week 36 for a 'relaxing' treatment prior to trying to 'get things going'. This is because the body needs to get used to the reflexology treatment.
Learning new skills is so important to me and my clients certainly benefit. I only take part in the very best courses in the UK by the very best tutors in their field of expertise.
For those of you who would like the best of both worlds I now offer a treatment called 'Pure Bliss' (a combination of Foot Reflexology, Facial Reflexology and Indian Head Massage - this can be bespoke to you). Please refer to the Pure Bliss page for more information.
In March 2016 I took part in a 'Mindful Reflexology' course by Sally Earlam to support my clients suffering from stress, anxiety and depression. Reflexology has been shown to aid relaxation and improve well-being. This course gives me extra techniques and sequences that can be used to help support the body systems in these difficult times. A number of my regular clients are benefiting from my new techniques including my fertility and pregnant clients!
In February 2017 I trained in Facial Reflexology with the world renowned Ziggie Bergman. It was beyond fascinating to train to work on the face rather than the feet. There are reflexes on the face just as there are on the feet. The benefits of facial reflexology include; working with organic facial oils (making the treatment so luxurious!), leaving your skin glowing and your whole body feeling relaxed. It is so rewarding to see my clients float out of the room after a treatment. As the Facial Reflexology treatment is 30 mins long you have the added benefit of a 30 mins Traditional Foot Reflexology to make the treatment an hour long. It really is a head to toe treatment! In June 2017 I look part in the Advanced Facial Reflexology course adding additional reflexes to my already popular treatment! My clients love it and are constantly rebooking!
If you / your loved one isn't a 'foot' person then I do offer a 30 mins Indian Head Massage followed by a 30 mins Facial Reflexology Treatment which is so extremely relaxing! I use Neal's Yard Rose Facial Oil during all my Facial Reflexology treatments. This is for the same hourly rate of £35. Please contact me to book in.
It is suitable for both men and women of all ages and can help treat for; relaxation, release of tension, improved sleep, improved mood and increased well-being.
I offer a wide range of daytime appointments from Monday to Friday. My treatment room is located in RG21 3LL so perfect for those who live in Basingstoke and surrounding areas including Hook and are looking for a reflexologist nearby. If there is a space on my drive outside 8 Meadow Road then you are welcome to park there). Reflexology improves your well being and when my clients leave me they look and feel so much more relaxed than when they first arrived!
I offer Traditional Reflexology, Maternity Reflexology, Fertility Reflexology and Indian Head Massage (only with the 'Pure Bliss' and 'Ultimate Bliss' package). I also offer reflexology for Stress and Anxiety.
I offer gift vouchers for those looking for something special for their loved ones. The voucher is valid for 12 months. You can choose a specific treatment or a value so your loved one can choose their own treatment. A great present for someone who is looking for; reduced stress levels, improved sleep and increased well-being. Many clients who book with a voucher become regular clients! I am fully insured and passed my one year diploma with the International Institute of Reflexology (IIR).

A Typical Session
I will send you a client consultation form in advance of your first treatment to ensure you receive your full one hour session. This form asks you questions relating to your medical history and lifestyle. This form allows me to put a bespoke plan together and takes about 5 mins to complete. I require the full payment upfront for your first treatment only (I provide you with my bank details in your confirmation email).
Just before the treatment I will ask you to remove your shoes and socks and lay back in my very comfortable chair (a blanket and a glass of water are always available). You may wish to wear leggings, tracksuit bottoms or loose trousers to make your experience more comfortable.
The treatment is not ticklish as I use a firm but comfortable pressure when working on your feet. Once the treatment has finished you should feel very calm and refreshed. It is important to ensure you drink plenty of water after the session, the evening of the session and the next day.
Having completed a course of treatments you may find it beneficial to continue with regular sessions to maintain health and well-being. My clients really feel the benefit of their regular sessions.
Some of my clients love the cream I use on their feet. I now sell this 'CCS Foot Care Cream' from my treatment room. It leaves your feet feeling so amazing! Please contact me for more information on 07801 968 211.
Is it safe to have reflexology during your pregnancy?
Absolutely! I was trained in reflexology for pregnancy with the amazing Sally Earlam (a member of the AOR Board) and have been lucky enough to work with a number of amazing clients - many of whom have had really positive birth experiences. Some clients visit me weeks into their pregnancy whilst others wait until their three month scan. I work with clients to improve the side effects of their pregnancy (morning sickness, PPGP (pelvic pain) and tiredness to name a few.
