What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a technique that deals with the principle that there are reflexes in the feet that correspond to all the; organs, glands, and parts of the body. It is a unique method of using thumbs and fingers on these reflex areas.
With stress a contributory factor in 75% of illness diagnosed, this alternative therapy is one of the ways to mitigate the stresses of modern life. Many clients make appointments for their next session at the end of their first treatment. People often ask how many appointments they need but this solely depends on the reason for your visit. Some clients book a one off treatment as a birthday present whilst a maternity client will see me throughout their pregnancy (monthly until month 8, then weekly until the due date followed by appointments every few days up until the birth). I am more than happy to discuss this with you on a one-to-one basis as every pregnancy is different.
As a reflexologist I work from my very relaxing treatment room in Basingstoke, Hampshire (RG21 3LL) not far from Hook. A Typical Session
I will send you a client consultation form in advance of your first treatment to ensure you receive your full one hour session. This form asks you questions relating to your medical history and lifestyle. This form allows me to put a bespoke plan together and takes about 15 mins to complete. I require the full payment upfront for your first treatment only.
Just before the treatment I will ask you to remove your shoes and socks and lay back in my very comfortable chair (a blanket and a glass of water are always available).
The treatment is not ticklish as I use a firm but comfortable pressure when working on your feet. Once the treatment has finished you should feel very calm and refreshed. It is important to ensure you drink plenty of water after the session.
Please wear loose fitting trousers/shorts for a hot stone reflexology session.
Having completed a course of treatments you may find it beneficial to continue with regular sessions to maintain health and well-being. My clients really feel the benefit of their regular sessions.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions on 07801 968 211.
Some of my clients love the cream I use on their feet. I purchase this cream from Boots called 'CCS Foot Care Cream'. This cream is widely used by a number of reflexologists. It leaves your feet feeling so amazing!
