A Typical Sessions & FAQs
How long does each treatment last?
Most of the treatments I offer are hourly but the 'Fertility Consultation' and 'Pure Bliss' treatments last longer. Please refer to my 'Prices & Opening Hours' page for additional details.
What do I need to wear?
It is important that you feel comfortable during a treatment so loose fitting clothes are ideal. For the hot stone reflexology sessions please ensure you wear loose fitting trousers so I can work up to your knees. For the Indian Head Massage it is useful to remove any large earrings, necklaces and wear a vest type top (avoiding thick jumpers) so I can work your shoulders and upper back.
How often should I have a treatment?
Having completed a course of reflexology treatment, many people find it beneficial to continue with regular treatments to maintain health and well-being. I can discuss this with you during your first visit.
Where is your treatment room?
My treatment room is located behind my house at 8 Meadow Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG21 3LL. Ideal for anyone looking for a reflexology treatment in Basingstoke.
How can I make a payment?
You can make a payment via online banking or cash. If you are making an online payment please could you make the payment in advance of the session (I will provide you with my bank details in your confirmation email).
Can I book a treatment if I just fancy some 'me' time?
Absolutely! I will still need you to complete a client consultation form which I can send to you in advance. This is needed for insurance purposes and enables me to put a bespoke plan for your treatment together.
Which treatments do you offer?
Traditional Foot Reflexology
Facial Reflexology (lasting 30 mins which can be combined with 30 mins Indian Head Massage or 30 mins Traditional Foot Reflexology)
A 'Pure Bliss' package consists of a 30 mins Indian Head Massage, 30 mins Facial Reflexology followed by 30 mins of Traditional Reflexology
for £55 (1hr 30 mins treatment in total). This package is ideal if you really need to relax and find an hour is not long enough.
Reflexology can assist with fertility, maternity, sleep issues, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and general well-being.
Is there anything I need to do after a treatment?
Please drink plenty of water - both immediately after the treatment and the following days.
Do you treat both men and women?
What can I expect from your treatment room?
To start with the couch can be adjusted to various positions which is so relaxing! There is lovely music and I have dimmed lighting. It is always lovely and cozy in the winter with access to a lovely warm blanket.
A typical reflexology appointment
I will send you a client consultation form in advance of your first treatment to ensure you receive your full one hour session. This form asks you questions relating to your medical history and lifestyle. This form allows me to put a bespoke plan together and only takes a couple of minutes to complete.
Just before the treatment I will ask you to remove your shoes and socks and lay back on my couch (a blanket and drink of water are always available).
The treatment is not ticklish as I use a firm but comfortable pressure when working on your feet. Once the treatment has finished you should feel very calm and refreshed. It is important to ensure you drink plenty of water after the session.
Having completed a course of reflexology treatment many people find it beneficial to continue with regular treatments to maintain health and well-being.
Can I purchase a gift voucher from Wendy French Reflexology?
Absolutely! On receipt of payment I can send you your gift voucher free of charge! I can send it directly to the recipient if that is easier.
