About Me

I thought I would introduce myself to my new followers! I am Wendy, the face behind Wendy French Reflexology. I absolutely love what I do and those of you who have booked in with me know that. I trained as a reflexologist 11 years ago and want every client to relax in a way they didn't think was possible.I love swimming (I swim four times a week), working on my cross stitch kits and running around my two children. I weirdly don't mind when it rains or is cold and I love meeting up with family and friends. I do love buying clothes - you won't find me in a therapists tunic! Why don't you contact me today to book in? 07801 968 211

Training Courses

In 2014 I trained in Indian Head Massage (IHM) with Louise Keet in London. You can benefit from an Indian Head Massage when you book a 'Pure Bliss' (90 mins of relaxation) or a one hour treatment (you can opt for 30 mins Indian Head Massage followed by 30 mins Facial Reflexology or 30 mins Indian Head Massage followed by 30 mins Traditional Foot Reflexology. This treatment is extremely popular! Please refer to the Pure Bliss page for more information.

I took part in a 4 day course by Barbara Scott for Fertility Reflexology (known as 'Reproflexology') in 2014 which was amazing and my clients are benefiting from my training! You could say it is life changing! I am seeing an increasing number of clients who come to me for Fertility Reflexology (some being diagnosed with unexplained infertility or secondary reflexology) and I am getting some amazingly positive results! In May 2021 I was contacted by a client I met on a Zoom Fertility Consultation with me who was all ready to start a second round of IVF to find she was pregnant after one treatment! Please note that this doesn't always happen. During the Fertility Consultation we discuss where you are in your fertility journey, how long you have been trying, if you have had an tests carried out at the hospital, your current stress levels, occupation, ovulation timing and reason(s) why you think you may not have conceived yet. With some clients I have found that they are constantly on the go and with regular reflexology treatments it slows them down and makes them realise how they never slow down or sit still. Infertility is extremely stressful for everyone involved, I work with both female and male clients. Please refer to the tab 'Fertility Reflexology' for further details. I am constantly reading about developments in the world of fertility and taking part in Webinars to increase my knowledge! For some clients it is just ensuring they are trying at the right time of the month. No one ever discusses the signs of fertility before you start trying for a baby and I ensure that the fertility rules are as clear as possible. My room is a very private area and is a space to talk.

In March 2015 I took part in a two day Maternity Reflexology course with Sally Earlam. One recent pregnant client gave me some amazing feedback! "I don't know what you did during your last treatment but I feel amazing! I'm not totally without pain but I manage much better. I can't describe it. I feel like my old self. You clearly pressed the right buttons - thank you so much!!!". I love the fact that most of my successful fertility clients go on to enjoy treatments during their pregnancy. It is so wonderful to witness their bump grow and to hear stories of their births and of course meeting the little one at the end! It is ideal if you can book in around week 38/39 for a 'very calm' treatment prior to trying to 'get things going'. This is because the body needs to get used to the reflexology treatment. I am being contacted by an increasing number of clients trying to avoid labour who have gone well over their due date but I do need to give one traditional reflexology treatment prior to trying to 'getting things going'. It is so important to have some 'me' time before your baby is born as it can be a very busy time.

In March 2016 I took part in a 'Mindful Reflexology' course by Sally Earlam to support my clients suffering from stress, anxiety and depression. Reflexology has been shown to aid relaxation and improve well-being. This course gives me extra techniques and sequences that can be used to help support the body systems in these difficult times. A number of my regular clients are benefiting from my new techniques including my fertility and pregnant clients! I recommend a treatment consisting of the facial reflexology and traditional foot reflexology for anyone suffering from anxiety/depression. Clients feel so calm when they leave my treatment room which is amazing.

In February 2017 I trained in Facial Reflexology with the world renowned Ziggie Bergman. It was beyond fascinating to train to work on the face rather than the feet. There are reflexes on the face just as there are on the feet and as the reflexes on the face are closer to the brain than the feet you will find yourself drifting off to sleep even quicker. The benefits of facial reflexology include; working with organic facial oils (making the treatment so luxurious!), leaving your skin glowing and your whole body feeling relaxed. It is so rewarding to see my clients float out of the room after a treatment. As the Facial Reflexology treatment is 30 mins long you have the added benefit of a 30 mins Traditional Foot Reflexology to make the treatment an hour long. It really is a head to toe treatment! In June 2017 I look part in the Advanced Facial Reflexology course adding additional reflexes to my already popular treatment! My clients love it and are constantly re-booking!

On 24th November 2018 I attended a lecture day in London with other ARR practitioners with a fascinating lecture from Alpesh Doshi of IVF London and our very own Barbara Scott. I learn so much about Egg & Sperm donation and feel much more educated when it comes to helping my clients. I was also taught some hand reflexology techniques to make it easier for my fertility clients to improve their cycles in between coming for treatments. My clients love giving themselves hand reflexology and you can see the benefits on many of their temperature charts. Hand reflexology is extremely easy to do on yourself.

Learning new skills is so important to me and my clients certainly benefit. I only take part in the very best courses in the UK by the very best tutors in their field of expertise. On 28th February 2019 I took part in a one day Acupressure Facial Therapy Course in London. This has already benefited my clients who experience sleep problems stress, anxiety or emotional issues. This treatment is also very beneficial for deeply relaxing the CNS. Due to its non invasive nature and effects on the nervous system its very supportive with clients with conditions such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.

September 2019 I took part in a Louise Keet course in London entitled 'Power Reflexology'. This course was extremely insightful and will give me even further skills to help my clients on a physical, emotional and energetic level. I learnt how to work on the chakras in the body to get the body to 'reboot' itself. It may be you have been dealing emotionally and physically with an illness, trying to conceive or dealing with family issues. Power Reflexology is ideal for you. Power Reflexology can be included for 20 mins within a traditional foot reflexology treatment so you don't need to book separately for this. Since taking part in the is course a number of my fertility clients that have conceived has doubled!

In June 2020 I took part in RLD (Reflexology Lymph Drainage) course - I was taught an award winning reflexology technique by Sally Kay which focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet. The aim is to stimulate the function of the lymphatic system and drain excess lymph from the damaged area using a unique sequence. This technique can be used to help with conditions other than lymphoedema including; arthritis, asthma, eczema, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, ME, sinus problems. migraines. headaches, muscular tension, aches and pains and pre-menstrual syndrome. On 20th August 2020 I received my certificate to confirm I passed my case study!!! What is incredible is that a client suffering from oedema couldn't believe she had to tighten the strap on her shoes on leaving my treatment room as her feet had shrunk during the treatment. The result was instant! This side of my business is really starting to take off!

In September 2020 I took part in a Louise Keet course in London entitled 'Spinal Reflexology'. You always hope that a course will make a difference to your clients well-being and this certainly didn't disappointed! By working down the spinal reflexes it allows me to target the organs and glands associated with that area. For example by working the cervical 1 reflex it can help with; headaches, insomnia, high blood pressure, chronic tiredness and dizziness. Conditions such frozen shoulder enable me to target where the cause may be on the spinal reflex(s) rather than just working on the shoulder.

On 17th February 2021 I took part in a course entitled 'Post Recovery Care Course' and I already know my new skills will make a difference to my clients! Post Recovery Care is a term designed to apply to acute and chronic imbalances where symptoms continue afterwards. It can be applied to many situations including: Post viral recovery - including Covid-19, Post-operative recovery. Post chemotherapy and/or radiation, Post pregnancy, Chronic fatigue (short or long term), Any post recovery situation (from a common cold through to major injuries and disease) and Acute and Chronic conditions.

In October 2021 I officially launched 'Reflexology for the Menopause'! I am now offering reflexology techniques and lifestyle ideas for supporting women through menopause. This covers the perimenopause, menopause and beyond. After your first appointment I will email you a leaflet, created by myself, with advice covering the five factors for healthy menopause; Diet, Exercise, Relaxation, Sleep and Purpose. This will simply summarise everything you need. There are specific reflexology techniques that can help someone suffering from menopausal symptoms. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further details.

In October 2022 I took part in an additional training course entitled 'Menopause: Facial, Hand and Foot Reflexology' with the London School of Reflexology (taught by Louise Keet and Ziggie Bergman). This ground breaking and transformative Menopause Zoom course is the first of its kind to use Reflexology to tone the zones from the head to the toes. My treatment plan will combine Facial & Foot Reflexology (although I can offer a one hour of foot reflexology) aimed at freeing energies along the longitudinal zones from the head to the feet. It focuses on key reflexes for common menopausal symptoms supported with a rationale in a unique and effective way that supports energy flow, along with the benefits of Reflexology. The focus of the treatment will aim to reduce symptoms on a physical, emotional and energetic level.

In April 2023 I passed my 'Save Your Thumbs' qualification - a fascinating addition to the traditional reflexology treatment using a reflexology wand. This treatment is not to be confused with thai sticks which can be very painful! The benefit of using the reflexology wand is that it can help to target the hard to reach places e.g. the heel area where emotion can be held.

In September 2023 I took part in the 'Facial Reflexology for An Empowered Menopause' course which was absolutely fascinating and will absolutely benefit my clients! Facial Reflexology techniques for general wellbeing, relaxation, sleep, stress & a few common perimenopause symptoms are incorporated in any facial reflexology treatment. I am always looking for new techniques / protocols to bring my clients the best treatment possible.

As a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) and International Institute of Reflexologists (IIR) I am committed to ensuring I practice to the highest standards. Please note that I am also fully insured.

Reflexology can assist with fertility, maternity, sleep issues, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia to name but a few and of course general well-being.
